Inman News integrated with My C.A.R. mobile app

LOS ANGELES (Aug 3) — The CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.) and Inman News today announced that Inman News stories will appear as a menu item in My C.A.R, the first native iPhone application for use by a REALTOR® association. The mobile application, available at no charge for members of C.A.R. also features: market data for 21 regions in California, current loan information, highlights from C.A.R’s “Market Matters” newsletter, association resources, the ability to search for license renewal and continuing education courses, hot item news alerts, and links to information that may be of interest to C.A.R. directors.

“We’re excited to partner with Inman News to offer additional value to our members through C.A.R.’s new mobile application,” said C.A.R. President James Liptak. “As REALTORS® spend so much time outside of a physical office, they’re looking for instant and mobile access to breaking news, research, and advice. We’re fortunate that Inman News offers this to our industry every day.”

Inman News stories will be available under the “News to Use” section. Existing users of My C.A.R. will receive the updated menu item automatically. Current C.A.R. members can download My C.A.R. directly from the Apple iTunes store for free. Simply search for the keywords “My C.A.R.” or “REBS” in the Applications section. Once downloaded, users can visit www.car.org/tools/mycar for additional instructions.

Users of BlackBerry® and other browser-based phones also can take advantage of the features of My C.A.R. Complete instructions are available at www.car.org/tools/mycar. The My C.A.R. interface is a scalable, data-driven application that can be licensed and branded by other local and state associations. The Inman News feed is available as an option.
